dosing and reef crystals

has anyone gotten by without dosing when using reef crystals on a mixed reef? (some acros, euphylia, softies ect)

I use reef crystals but I have to dose know. Coraline sps and lps are starting to grow. 90g tank with 10g water changes is not enough

I do it all by hand at the moment

A small enough tank could get by, sure.

I am setting up a 13 gallon AIO as a frag grow out tank. I plan to use reef crystals and to do large water changes weekly or bi-weekly if I have to. No dosing or skimmer. 1 fish with small feedings.

that sounds exactly like my 15 gal setup i just upgraded from

There are too many variables to answer your question. You need to test your tank regularly to know what it needs.

i know that testing is important and i’ve been doing it in moderation i was just asking has anyone else pulled it off, thanks for your reply though
