Can anyone tell me if are is there a recommended amount of calcium you should dose a day. The reason is my calcium dropped a little low a d trying to get it back up to par.

Typically, as long as it doesn't plummet people take their 5 to 7 day uptake and devide that and dose small doses each day to keep it stable. If its dropping massively daily dose the amount recomended by calcium supplement company and check back tomorrow at the same time. If the number is exactly the same as when you added calc you have your daily dose. Hope this helps and adresses your question.

Each tank is different, test your alk and cal and log results, wait 24hrs exactly and test again to determine demand rate, use a reef calculator to determine how much of whichever product you are using to supplement alk/cal you need to be adding. Make additions/tweak amount until your params stay steady/not decreasing and not increasing.

Thanks for the reply to my question you have answered my question

Everything is ok but calcium tested everything this morning an alk was at 8.5 mag was at 1309 which I just increased my amount to dose and calcium was at 391. I run a calcium reactor and don't have to deal with dosing alk an calcium so was trying to get calcium back up to par thats why I'm was asking if there was a limit to how much you could dose in one day

If you run a calcium reactor, you shouldn't need to be dosing anything but maybe some magnesium.

Sounds like you need to get your reactor tuned properly, details on your reactor setup? Dkh of effluent? how many ML per min? how many bubbles per min?
