Dosing Container Plastic Type?

I want to use some cheap cereal dispensers that are “BPA free”.

Are these safe for storing soda ash liquid and calcium chloride liquid? Is there a plastic type in particular that is safe besides acrylic?

Most assume because it’s “food safe” it’s fine but this isn’t food.

I tend to stick to HDPE plastics. As it is known to have an extremely high chemical resistance. This is important if you are dosing something that may have a very high pH value, or very acidic.

I was looking for one that showed the level of pH and heat resistance, but that document is a good summary.

Thanks, anyone know of an HDPE cereal dispenser or container with a dual lid?

I want something that has a lid with hinged flap or similar.

So is the consensus that one should use HDPE only for 2 part dosing containers filled with soda ash and calcium chloride?

How large of a container do you need? It isn’t plastic but I’m going to go the Voss glass jar DIY route.
