Dosing copper to eliminate ich and vermetid?

Hello,

Does anyone know how effective copper is against vermetid snails?
Wondering since I am in the process of restarting my tank, my tang is showing signs of ich now.
Planning to treat the temporary tank with copper and start the QT process.. but while I am at it, can I kill two birds with one stone by dosing copper directly into my DT?

No. Copper will attach itself to your rocks and sand leeching over time. It will be toxic for coral and inverts regardless of water changes.

You would have to remove all sand and rock while any copper is in the system. Cleaning or vacuuming won't help remove copper

If you copper your tank, it will NEVER be fit again for inverts and will only be good for fish-only !

it's not a great idea or advisable to use copper in a DT unless, IMO, it is a fowlr system and has no live rock which I guess would make it a fish only system
