i am running into, what i assume is some sort of parasite issue. dont think its ick, but very well could be, so i will be running fish through a hospital tank to try to alleviate them of their issues. currently, they are flashing regularly enough where i think its a parasite of some issue, but not seeing signs of ick. obviously, there is something going on, otherwise they wouldnt be flashing and whatnot, so i am going to give this a go.
i do not have a copper tester currently, and before i go adding this to my QT tank, and putting fish into it, i want to make sure that i am dosing properly, since the stuff i read online indicates that their label used to be incorrectly listed for dosing. i havent found anything that indicates that their dosing suggestions have been updated, and reading posts about proper dosing is more confusing than anything else. i am hoping to know what dose to use per gallon. i just purchased a bottle, and it shows 5ml per 4 gal. is this the correct dosage, or is it still incorrectly listed?

also, is the API copper test kit reliable, or is it hit/miss like their saltwater testers?

Yes, 5 ml per 4 gallons. Since API testing can be tricky, shoot for the middle of the range— more that therapeutic, less than deadly.
