Dosing for cleaner glass?

I seem to be having to glean my glass constantly.
I am curious if there is anything I can dose to keep my glass and sand looking clean.
I know peroxide would do the trick but thats not something i can dose daily as my corals would hate it
 
I have heard small doses of silicates can help by encouraging other life forms in our tanks that consume algae.

Did a wonderful write up about it but I don’t remember how many mg/l was required.
 
Silicate dosing shifted the glass coating from green algae to diatoms, which were somewhat less obscuring (see pics in link).

That said, I generally would not approach trying to keep the glass clean by dosing something. :)
