hey guys I have 2 of the 1.1mil dozers from brs and am trying to set them up with the apex. I am thinking fallback off for obvious reasons, and I would like to have them dosed evenly to keep levels as stable as possible.

That being said, I don't know how to program them, I also am not sure the best times to run them. I am dosing 2 part so a little time between the 1 and 2 part would be best. Can anyone give me some feedback I what you use to dose evenly every few hrs through the day? And also with all should I dose more after lights out than during the day to keep ph from spiking?

Thanks in advance.

You can either contact bulk reef supply they will help you out greatly with their awesome customer service with the setting up the schedule and everything. And I recommend dosing during the day or right before lights come on. I dose in the morning akalinity and then 5-7 hours pass and then dose calcium. You don't want to dose multiple times a day even though some do I just feel you can mess things up. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Why not dose alk multiple times a day or even continuously? I thought keeping alk stable was the goal. Would not dosing multiple times vs one single dose do a better job at keeping alk stable? Also many dose alk by mixing Kalkwasser in their ato. Those who do it this way get many small doses a day. In fact many believe that using the Kalkwasser in the ato is the preferred method for adding alkalinity. Don't mean to be argumentative. Just like to learn why people do things

Yeah I just have a lot of top off each day like 2-3 gallons and you guys probably do too I just find dosing more controllable and I've had my atos in the pass fail so I'd rather trust my bubble magus dosing pump. Not to say kalkwasser isn't the way to go just like dosing better. Works for me and it's cheap with the brs 2 part and my tank is pretty stable I think lol.

fallback off .... :) heck ya
spread out your dosing throughout day.. I am with you on that. I am sure there are a lot of varying opinions on that but ultimately it would be based on your tank usage.
My system doses cal mag alk 4 times a day with an hour between each. So alk starts 12am, cal 1am, mag 2am
Sorry can't help with the BRS dosers and Apex but as Joe mentioned BRS should be able to assist or maybe someone will chime in that has same setup.
Like anything you are going to get a million ways to do it

This is how I have mine set up. You can change the time for the amount you want to does.
