Tested alk calc and mg
Levels were
8.0 alk
425 calc
1350 mg

Tested the next day and levels dropped to
7.6 alk
405 calc
1350 mg

I dosed esvb
25ml alk solution
160ml calcium solution

I always have read dose the same amount of two part solution.

Is it unusual to dose 6 times more calcium than alkalinity?

I would keep dosing a little more every other day or so until you reach a level where things are stable. So add like 2ml or so to each and keep testing until you are are the levels you want. :)

Also, I always have dosed more Calc then Alk but it all depends on your tank and the chemicals you dose.

It's going to depend a bit on your salt mix calcium alk balance. Some are lower in calcium.

Head over to the reef chemistry calculator and give it a poke.

It says the balanced calcium to 7.6 alk is 415 cal.

To make it even more fun oft times all hobby grade test kits have a fair amount of test error.

I don't understand your post about 2ml more every day.

I retested tonight. Seems I'm spot on with the alk dose at 25 ml. The calcium jumped way up to 475 from 405 after 160 ml dose. The calcium doesn't make since as the calculator I used said 160 would get me to 425

Maybe stop dosing for longer period, say, five days and average out the consumption each day. If you have such high Ca precipitation could happen

Checked levels last night. Calm stayed at 475 alk dropped to 7.7. I seem to consistently be using 25-30 ml of esvb alk per day with very little to no change in calcium. I'll keep testing daily and log it here.
