So my dosing tube doses in the same chamber as my skimmer is at. Originally they were two chambers that are separated by a partition that I have removed. The dosing tube doses right before the skimmer above a small wave maker I have in there. Is this an issue? Should I change my dosing tubes location?

I would dose after so that skimmer isn’t removing what you just added

I’ve always put dosing tubes in the return pump chamber, away from any other sort of mechanical filtration or media.
Even though I don’t have enough flow in that chamber?

I meant to say that unlike my skimmer chamber I don’t have a small wave maker to prevent detritus from settling on the bottom.

I believe the chamber that holds your return pump should have enough flow/agitation for dosing into prior to display

I have an airstone running off a small pump in the return in hope of increased aeration in hopes of improved CO2 removal - just a thought

I am perplexed by your proposed dilemma. I’ve never had a sump set up where I’ve required additional powerheads in my return chamber.
