Dosing Kalk to Raise pH

So I’m still dosing kalk for stability and it did help a bit. I finally bit the bullet and ran 1/2” tube for outside air source. I was scrubbing as well but have stopped that as my pH is now stable between 8.0-8.1

also, due you have an apex. I learn that you need to calibrate the pH prode directly with apex local vice fusion. Now my ph prode is spot on with chem tests.

Dosijg 1500 ml of kALK a day. I’m old school and was using kalk 20 years ago. Plus saves money on 2part

which I dose abou 25ml a day.

my ALK is 8.05-8.1 and my CAL hovers around 435

My ph runs 7.9 night 8.1-2 daytime.
I run a calcium reactor too.
My 120 evaporates about 1 gal per day. The reservoir is a Bashsea 10 gal unit. I add only 1/4 teaspoon of kalk per 10 gallons. Ph 10+. This keeps the tank at said levels and is easy to implement. It also does not affect alk or calcium either. I did this on my 25 nano that evaporated 1/2 gallon a day and it worked very well too.

Per 10g of top off or tank water?

It was 1/4 teaspoon into 10 gallons of top off water. Yes just enough to get the top off waters ph to 10.
I do not do it anymore as my tanks ph runs 7.9 night to 8.2 lights on without it.
Alk is now 7-7.5.
