I’ve been dosing two part for about one year now into the third chamber of my biocube. I have previosly had an air stone in that chamber as well. I never felt I had enough surface agitation from my powerheads and I don’t run a protein skimmer. I’ve changed my flow recently which eliminated the need for the air stone. After a few weeks now with no air stone in my 3rd chamber, I’ve noticed precipitate build up on my return pump, which is also in that chamber. This is also the same chamber I run my ato with kalkwasser. I’m thinking of moving my two part lines to a different chamber. Would placing these lines into chamber one be okay? My concern is that the water from chamber one runs quickly through filter floss and then on top of a sheet of plastic that’s the top of a custom ats that cover the second chamber. My other option would be to dose into the main display near the return and one if my power heads. Any thoughts and advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Im thinking by the return/powerhead in the tank is going to give you the best dispersal into the system. Also if you are dosing 2part do you really need the kalkwasser anymore?

Wherever you put it, slowing down dosing, more dilute dosing, and using a lower pH alk additive will reduce the precipitation.

I can’t judge the particulars of where is best in your system, but the highest turbulence in the largest volume is best.

No I don’t need to, but I like the ph boost. I like this spot too, was just unsure if dosing directly into the display was a risk.

When I had my biocube I always dosed into the second chamber. All I had in there was the InTank media basket. Water was too still on top to dose into the third chamber.
This might be a solution too. I could drill through the plastic easily enough and fit my tubbing there. Thanks!
