So I bought 3 Bangaii Cardinals on Saturday and all seemed healthy and were eating. They are in a bare bottom QT. One stopped eating Sunday and died Monday. I didn't see any external signs of what happened. Today another stopped eating and now has white stringy poo. You can see it in the pic of the one on the bottom. My question is should I dose MetroPlex and PraziPro at the same time or only one? If only one, which one? Thanks in advance.

Sorry about the losses.

You can dose both at the same time. Make sure to have good flow in the QT. What is the ammonia in the QT?

While some internal parasites will kill fish (potentially quickly), usually this doesn’t happen so often so I would be suspicious of another cause.

Metro + Prazi is fine together. Make sure to add a powerhead aimed up rippling the surface to help with O2. The Prazi uses some of the O2. Or you can dose with General Cure which is the powder version of Prazi + Metro. And the Prazi dose is a bit lower and easier on the fish. Plus you don't have to O2 consumption.

Thanks for the info. The Ammonia is zero, I am keeping that in check. I have a powerhead aimed at the surface for agitation all the time, so hopefully that will be enough. I will dose both and see how it goes. Thanks again!

MetroPlex and PraziPro can exist at the same time without conflict. Your best bet is to soak the food (along with some Focus to bind it), so that they get the medication where they need it. Check out this thread.
The problem I have is the one with the issues is not eating. Although I could soak some and get the other to take it internally. I will try that too. Thanks.

Yeah; that can happen. This is one of those cases where I suggest adding some garlic into the food slurry. Just a bit of garlic juice can sometimes act as an appetite stimulant with some fish. Not always effective, but it's also an easy thing to try...
If you're not already, using a high-quality frozen food (such as LFS) might also help them eat more.

Beyond that, dosing the tank is better than nothing at all, for sure.

So I had a question, can I soak my frozen food in prazipro and add it to the display tank? Is it safe if inverts or corals get pieces of the food? I know metroplex will kill inverts fairly quick!

Prazipro can be dosed directly into the display tank. You could lose things like feather dusters, bristleworms, etc.

Oh I do have two large feathers dusters in the tsnk my wife picked out

Make sure you soak the food in Focus+Metroplex for about 10-15minutes prior to feeding the fish.

@Humblefish ? Any input ? Is it indeed safe?, I Just dosed my QT observation tank per instructions of both prazi & metro (20GL) and see quite a bit of cloudiness starting. Strong agitation is at the top from gyre. along with air stone also.

Did everything go okay? I’m about to do the same.
