I was curious to see if dosing microbes with a product such as MB7 or Remediation requires bio pellets to be beneficial?

I picked up a bottle of Remediation today in hopes to help assist with controlling high nitrates in my NPS tank. The only problem is that the instructions are incredibly vague. /:

I've attempted to do some research on R2R already and there isn't much information supporting this specific product.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

So adding bacteria may help, but in many cases, denitrification is limited by organic matter, and adding an organic carbon source (in addition to or instead of the bacteria) can help even more. If you want to add bacteria, I'd do it, and if you do not see the response you want, I'd look to add organic carbon, or look to other methods (such as growing macroalgae, ATS, denitrator, etc.). :)

You're a wizard Randy! (:

I'm going to start dosing NOPOX in conjunction with bacteria dosing.
