Hi, I’m just curious if anyone has had good data on making mixture of mkp To raise Phosphate numbers? I was Using the awesome table for KNO4 hoping there might be another one for MKP. Is there such a thing as too much K?
so I’ve been running a biocube 29 for a few years and started a refugium a couple years ago. This year I bought an h80 and it definitely slowed the algae.... and everything else. So I read up on Dino’s and found that I had zeroed out nitrates and phosphate. I started dosing nitrates KNO4. ( only has to add enough and haven’t seen fast uptake, I have checked daily for 3 weeks now) And it has stabilized around 4 (don’t have a quality test kit yet to see any better info on that) The coral bounced back but now polyp extension has backed off on the montipora. So I checked phosphate and it is zero. (Having not added anything other than food not surprised really) I don’t have a test kit for K yet... just looking for pointers and maybe a direction to start if there isn’t already data out there.
