Dosing ? New to GHL, learning quickly, but stuck on a dosing schedule

I've set up (3) dosing schedules, all are working as planned. I'm working on an AWC (sensors will be added later) and having issues.
P4 and Doser 2.1SA (running in slave mode) all running current firmware.

I'm only ghost dozing now, trying to learn programing, I will use the Maxi Dose for AWC.

This is how I do it now on my Apex.
Let's talk about the removal of water for now, as I can duplicate it later for the add cycle.
12:00am-5:00am remove 3000ml of water over the course of 5 hours.
6:00am - 11:00 am add 3000ml over 5 hours.
12:00pm - 5:00 pm remove 3000ml over 5 hours
6:00pm -11:00pm add 3000ml over 5 hours

I have (2) scheduled dosings set, 12:00am 12:00pm flow rate 60m/m.
My question is, is the dose going to be constantly running at 60ml/m until the 3000ml is removed or will it spread it out over the 300 minutes. This would be 50 equal doses of 60ml per dose.

Also, since I'm using 55gal containers for my NSW and ATO, are there any plans to increase the size limit on the containers? I have them set to the max of 30,000ml. I need the size closer to 190,000ml.
 
Hmm, I thought the new firmware was supposed to increase the container size dramaticly.

I looked quick at your link, I didn't see anything about increased container size.
 
No the container size did not make this round of the firmware the increase from 8 to 24 Shula doses did.
 
Well to answer my OP, at 12:00pm it just kept running . So now I have 8 scheduled doses to do what I want.
Starting at 12:00am then on every hour until 5:00 am, dose is running at 100ml/m and a dose amount of 1,000 m. This makes the dose run for 10 minutes once every hour. This repeats again at 12:00pm until 5:00 pm.
This way I can remove 10,000ml over the course of 24hrs. Once I get the Max Dose, I'll apply this schedule to both heads to do my staggered AWC. I will also at that time add flow sensors to prevent a sump "to low" or "to high" condition.

Hi,

To start, if you're using D2.1 motors, the flow rate will not be 60ml/min. It will be closer to 40ml/min. Each head should be calibrated before proceeding any further.

If the flow rate of the pump head was 40ml/min and you want to dose 3000ml with the AUTO dose option, you will need to tell the device how many times per day to run this schedule and how many ml each dose will consist of. Given this information, the device will evenly split each dose throughout a 24hr period.

If you use the INDIVIDUALLY dose option, you will need to specify the time to dose and the amount to dose. I suggest breaking up the 3000ml into at least 6 dosages. With this option, you choose how far apart to space each dose.

Keep in mind, each head should not run longer than 15-20 minutes at a time, without being given a cooling period of the same time. Longer run-times on these motors will lead to excess wear and tear.

Vinny, thanks for the reply. This was only a trial to learn dosing procedures. I will be using a MAXI for the AWC. I ending up using individually dose option with timers. See I need to dose/remove 3000ml 12:00am-5:00am (pump1) add 3,000 ml 6:00am-11:00am (pump 2), then repeat at 12-5 and 6-11. I couldn't find a way to split a automatic dose schedule into (2) 5 hour blocks.
 
Understood.

The individually option would be the better choice.
Auto assumes you want to split over the 24hr day, whereas Individual lets you pick and choose the times.
