Dosing nitrate to lower phosphate

Have you tried dosing nitrate along with carbon dosing to reduce phosphate levels?? Were you successful, and able to quit running GFO??

When I ran chaeto and had no nitrates my phosphates would go up. So yes, if you have no nitrates it can be a limiting factor, but only if you have something like chaeto to absorb it.

Anyone else want to chime in about the op? I am interested in knowing more about raising nitrates to reduce phosphate.
