Has anyone put nitrates and or phosphate remover in their ato water/container?

I’m currently using gfo but I can’t get my phosphates low enough, I have some algae starting to grow on the rocks.

Also, nitrates won’t budge… I’m not home enough to continuously feed although I do have a auto feeder.

Any advice is greatly appreciated?

Nitrates - .9
Phosphate - .05

.05 phosphates is great. wish i could keep mine that low.

nitrates at .9? you might want to try to raise this a tad not lower it, especially if you have corals.

do you have a protein skimmer?

You are trying to raise nitrate, correct? How many fish are in your tank? You might just need more livestock to produce more nitrate
Yeah raise nitrate and possibly lower phosphate. I need to retest phosphate because that was low number compared to what it’s been. Maybe I could use more of a cleanup crew.

It’s 140 total volume, I have three 3” tangs and a 1” yellow. 4” bristle tooth, flame hawk and 2 clowns.

Or read the dosing ammonia thread to raise the nitrates.
