I recently had an alk dosing timer stick on, I was lucky and caught it before a crash but did have some browning and actually lost a couple of SPS. Alk went up to @ 11 vs 7 where I like it. So I am either getting a GHL doser ( more reliable) or a Calcium reactor to maintain Alk an Cal. I have had a Calcium reactor before and it was kinda a pain to maintain but its was over 10 years ago. I assume they have a better design now and easier to maintain. So, of the 2 ways to maintain Cal and Alk, which is more reliable ?

You can't go wrong with either method, a big deciding factor for most ppl is initial cost. It's obvious a CaRX has the higher initial price but I've found it to be a much simpler way to maintain alk and calcium.
