Dosing pH, with dosing pump and it just globs and settles

Hello fellow reefers! I'm looking for some insight here I just started using a dosing pump and I'm using "pH balance for reefs" by aqua vitro. I have an AIO tank and notice if I dose it into the back it just globs and settles (not high flow area) which is an issue because it does not get dispersed into the water and at some point I have a feeling it'll move and mix causing a spike in PH when it does. I tried moving the dosing line above my powerhead in the display portion of my tank and instead of globbing it breaks up into a million small pieces until it evenly disperses within a minute through the tank, but I've noticed my cleaner shrimp and clownfish are very interested in it and think it's food I'm worried they will eat it and it will cause health issues.

Am I doing something wrong? or should I be dosing something else that does not have this globbing effect, and what I mean by globbing is it just kind of clumps up into these weird shaped balls in low flow area or takes some time if dropped in high flow area to mix into the water colum.

It's 2 am my time so please excuse any weird wording I'm just trying to get this figured out.

PS. I used to drip using a reptile water reservoir that would very slowly and do one drip at a time, and it wasn't an issue. I'm guessing here because my dosing pump is doing about 8 ml in a few seconds that's why I'm seeing a difference.

what’s your ph? also, i wouldn’t recommend using ph buffers. regardless of brand, they have a great effect on alk and only a temporary impact on ph (which is why i’m sure you’re dosing) my suggestion would be adding a co2 scrubber in your protein skimmer. would save you money forsure and void the risk of high alk levels, depending on the size of your tank, an airstone will work for this as well.

My PH before dosing is around 7.8 sometimes 7.6 I have an AIO cobalt c-vue I think 18.5 g. no protein skimmer yet long story... So just an air stone and air pump to help with gas exchange? Is that the thought process? Also do I want to put the air stone in the back or display portion of the tank?

yes you can do a test to see what the deal is with your ph. take a reading, drop an airstone over night, test for ph at the same time you added the air stone. if the ph went up then your tank has too much co2, if the ph went down then the room has too much co2 which can prevent adequate aeration at the water's surface usually occurring in a small or closed-off space. either in DT or sump works.

Ok I will do that, I just did some research on buffers and I will try and cut off using it. Tank is in the living room and it's huge with 18 foot vaulted ceilings but we have a dog, 4 cats, and 3 people in the home. If the co2 is high in the house what's the fix other than opening the door/window since I'm in south Florida and its 90+ in the summer and would go mad due to the heat.

I'll hit the googles and check it out, my only thought is the tank is a few feet from our patio door, I might be able to get away with an air house outside and some how use it to get some o2 in the tank.
