I bought the following product to does to my tank. There’s no inhabitants and I have 3ppm nitrate but 0 phosphate. I assume my dry mined rock is soaking up the phosphates as I did ghost feed my cycle and had detectable levels that disappeared. I want to get the rock past it’s bound up point just to avoid a possible Dino outbreak. Will be adding kp aquatics premium rock in 45ish days after qt for pest algae.

I use a similar product. I dose a 500 ppm solution in RO water to prevent precipitation when I add it. I assume at some point the rock will stop adsorbing PO4.
