Dosing Phyto

Going to start auto dosing live Phyto. Question is can I have the dose line go to the sump or does it have to go to display? Securing the line in the sump would be easier.

If I dose in sump would it be ok to dose it right before refugium? Would only travel through fuge, sponge bubble trap, small bag of carbon possibly, and then be in return chamber.

As long as it's not running through a protein skimmer it doesn't matter where you dose it.
