Dosing PO4 in Top off.

My tank is becoming PO4 depleted and I'm trying to think if there would be a downside to adding PO4 to my top off water. I'm assuming that my RO water should be relatively nitrate free so I'm assuming I would not get a bacteria/algae bloom from it. @Randy Holmes-Farley thoughts?
