I've searched a bit and didnt find anything so I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this, I setup my DP-4 yesterday, currently dosing Ca, Alk and Mag directly from the bottles and I noticed that the airline tubing (not silicone) appears to be perspiring? Im sure its not condensation. I'm trying to determine if the pump is some how leaking or if the tubing is too permeable. Anyone experience something similar?

Perhaps there was something on the outside of the tubes. Salt, for example, can draw moisture out of the air. So while it may not be temperature-based, it could still be condensation.

Try wiping it down with a cloth dampened with RODI and then followed by a dry cloth to see if it recurs.

It seems unlikely that the airline tubing would allow liquid (or air for that matter) to penetrate its walls.

Thanks for the reply, its definitely not condensation, I got curious so I tasted each one and they've each got a distinct taste and it matches whats in the bottle ;).

I used silicone tubing in a p4 and it still was doing it.
Must be the tubing of the pump.
Btw, I had this pump 4 years ago as my CaRx had to be fixed.
It was a cheap pump but it did its job for a week.

Figured I'd follow up on this post, I swapped out the regular clear airline tubing from my bottles to the pump heads with silicone and have not had any additional perspiration. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I've kept the clear silicone from the pump head to the DT as I want to be able to see if there is air in the lines or other issues, however they dont seem to be suffering from the same problem. Not sure what the issue is/was but I'll continue to monitor.
