Dosing pump and 2 part ? Any pics?

How much cheaper is it to buy the ingredients to make your own two part and how hard is it.

A lot cheaper I have been running my setup for about three months now I'm on my second set of mix and still have lots left to make more. When brs has sale and group buys I try and re up so I always have.

I still dose mag by hand

I was lookin at brs and the the bulk mixes how much does the one gal and five gal make. Is it concentrated or does it just make 1 gal etc. it seems that dosing two part can become expensive. How much are y'all spending on two part every month?

Does 1/2 gallon of alk and calc mix from BRS just make 1/2 gallon of mix or is it more concentrated. If this is the case I don't see this saving much money because I can buy 4 liters of premixed for 26$ and this is more than a gallon.

Ok so I'm new to dosing 2 part. I just ordered a marine magic triple dosing pump. How do I figure out how much of each calcium And alk solution to dose throughout the day. Do I test my calcium and alk every day or few days and see how many ppm I'm losing? Anything anyone can tell me about this would be greatly appreciated just assume I know nothing. Any pics of how you guys have your dosing pumps and solution containers set up would be awesome.

The marine magic doser is crap. Sorry to say it so bluntly but that's what it is. Test it and pump your liquids into a cup and measure. Sometimes it'll be up to
+/- 10ml off. I wouldn't use it if is was the last dosing pump on earth.

Uncalibrated, sure. The liquids are different densities so they pump differently. The doser has a calibration feature that you must use before putting it to daily use.

I agree I have two friends with these one for 2 years the other for 3 years only one had to replace a pump within that time and their tanks look good to me. I know it's a cheaper pump and I live bubble magus I have their skimmers. But I also think your paying a lit extra for that name as with any top brand. But don't get me wrong bubble magus is among my faborites
