Hey everyone,

As the title says I am looking for a accurate set of dosing pumps to set up a system to do a constant water change. I have a RSM 250 (65gal) that I want to do a 2 gal water change a day. My thought is to take two dosing pumps and wire them to the same apex outlet. One pump will take water out of the take as the other adds water. I will place the hose removing the water only a inch below the water surface so if it did not stop it would only remove a few gal of water before the end of the hose would be air bound. When The apex outlet turns on both pumps will turn on. So here is what I am looking for in a pump.
1. Accurate
2. Capable of moving at least 2 gal a day. I would prefer more as I don't want them to run constantly.
3. A pump that will not back siphon.
4. Quiet

here is the pump I am looking at right now only because it can handle the volume of water I am looking at moving.
BRS Top Off Doser ? 50 mL per minute - Bulk Reef Supply
Please any thoughts and or recommendations are welcomed
Thank's

I don't know that I would use a doser for that. Those tubes wear out more quickly when they run more often. I use their doser pumps and they are pretty nice and well built. I plan to use the same one you're asking about for my ATO, but you're talking about a lot wear and tear on the tubing and the motor running it that much every day.

BTW the Genesis Renew systems are also offered in bundles that use Eheim Compact 1000 pumps.

Thank's guys. Since my tank has no sump and I want to keep my new water below my tank the genisis will not work for me. As for the hose in the pump not holding up I don't mind having to replace them every few month's The 50 ml pump would only have to run for about 4 min per hour. I don't know how long it would take wear down the lines at that rate.
The spectrapure pump looks interesting.

The litermeter uses the hard tubing like your ro/di so they last longer than dosing tubing. You can also do ATO with the litermeter. I've been using one for about 6 months. I switched to b ionic salt because there's no residue and the salt mixes that leave residue can build up in the lines. I have my tanks in the garage 40' from the tank and run the lines through the attic into the walls to the tank.

Thank's.
I am going to do a little more research on the litermeter when i sit down for 5 min.

I guess it depends on the quality of pumps/tubing you're using. I have the litermeter system for dosing and ATO and haven't changed the tubes in 5 years.

I also use the liter meter for dosing and top off and just recently began using it for auto daily water changes........working great.

A medical or industrial grade peristaltic pump with dual heads might be what you are looking for.

Google masterflex peristaltic pump.
