Dosing pump outlet tube above the pump

Is there any problem with locating the outlet tube of a dosing pump above the level of the pump itself? I want it to drip into the tank overflow box.

As long as the tubing is out of the water there should be no issues with back feeding. With a dosing pump water should not be able to back feed but some of them out there are cheap I would not trust them. A check valve would be wise too..
