Dosing pump timer

Picked up a BRS 1.1ml doser. Works great except every time it cycles on and off, the digital timer completely resets back to factory settings. Tried two different units of the same timer with same result, one of which has worked flawlessly for months on my skimmer.

What brand of timers have you had success with?

I have used the Bubble Magus doser on previous set up. It worked fine for me, no major issues and once set it stayed set
instructions were not great, or my IQ is not as good as required for the Chinese/English translation provided LOL
but once I had it worked out, it was plain sailing
