In couple weeks once i can figure out which one to get im getting a dosing pump as im tired of manually dosing 2 part...so my questions are what dosing pump would be recommended and why? Also if have one how long have you had it? Is it easy to use this is big concern ease of use?...thank you and pics are always great to so know what im looking at

I have been running the GHL doser 2 for a little over a year. Overall I am happy with the unit. Programming and connecting to the unit in the beginning can be a challenge but there is good tech support, and GHL has a long reputation for making reliable dosers. I have read of people having issues with Jeabo dosers recently. The price point on the Jeabo is nice, but for a piece of equipment that can potentially nuke your tank if it malfunctions I would look to save elsewhere.

I have used bubble magus and fauna marin, the fauna Marin led screen died after 3 years and the bubble magus heads can stop working in 1-2 years if kept in a humid environment, like in a tank cabinet next to a sump. Also recently started having electronic issues with one 9 months old, but they have since moved to a new model, probably the same electronics and different case. They won't over dose but they may stop dosing at some point...

What if one channel stops and the other does not? You're still up that stinky creek :)

Theres alot of good dosers. Its one of those pieces of equipment that you have to really do extensive research on and also cannot mess around with. Personally i got the neptune dos and its just easyer for me to go onto fusion to tune my dosing. brs has good pumps and i deffinitly recommend you to start with them (plus theyre cheap )maybe look into it

did you get the DDR as well? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the two. and gripes or complaints?

Ghl or vertex if money isn't really an issue. On a budget the jaebo doser is pretty solid if you can live with the programming. I've used a bubble magus for years and loved it. But recently it started giving me major problems which proved to be catastrophic. You can refer to my build thread if you care for the details. If you have an apex though I would get the DOS

I acually didnt get the ddr because for my tank its small if i were to use brs 2 part nd my new build i already had an acrylic box with bionic 2 part but man how much i love the dos. Litterally everything about it is phenomenal but no complains "yet" so well see

So far so good only issues i seen was the double dosing on daylight savings time hour and sometimes fusion will show my calc will add .3 less then what its programmed to but apex said its just a glitch. Overall alk line hasnt clogged yet ,no check valves no back syphoning, no getting stuck on. You can customize your dosing however speed, time, interval, amount you want and wouldnt be happier. Only downside for 350$ (i think they price dropped it) you get 2 heads but to me its worth it

good stuff man, I'm just getting into dosing my tank, calcium and alkalinity for now, sick of hand dosing 30ml of alk and 20ml of cal every day. just wish the DDR had an easy way to stir the contents. do any reservoirs?

Not that i kno off. Use bionic if ur uptake is low

Thanks guys ...im not to concerned with the money aspect as was said earlier in this thread dnt want go cheap on something that could ruin my tank...i do not have an apex given the money the sytems cost and the time it takes to set them up so the dos probably out of the question...my lfs almost all carry bubble magus which what i was thinking and gives me three pumps to use but now that you guys have informed me of that info i may be thinking goin something else...j ow hard is the ghl to setup i really dont want this to be a pain...any dosing pump put there no one had a problem with yet besides the newer dos??

GHL can be run off a Smart Phone or tablet. It's not hard to set up and has a lot of options like calculation of how long your container of liquid will last depending on how much you are dosing. It will give you an alarm when you get low. It is a real accurate doser with stepper motors.

Are there different models or all same ?

Hold on so I can take a pic with my phone.
You want cheap the most reliable dosing method?
Think of it this way in comparison to your love for the tank. If you were in the ICU wouldnt you want the best care?

Pic coming!

Once demand is figured all you have to do is keep the containers filled :)
