I am looking for a stand alone dosing pump. I don't have a controller or monitor. Just looking to dose calcium right now. But as things change it will need to be upgradeable or be able to do multiple dosing. Like maybe mag or alk. Later on.

As a standalone without controller i find my jabeo dp4 acceptable, doesnt have all the bells and whistles of some others but i find it accurate enough and easy enough to calibrate for my use of alk,ca,mg and iron. And at a reasonable cost. If you ever get a controller there is no way to connect it to it.

If you are just doing calcium i see possible reasons,
-your salt mix is calcium deficient. Dont need a doser just mix calcium into your mix water to get desired ca level. Or use a higher calcium salt mix
- you also need alk and there is some test error. I find it unlikely your system is using ca but not alk. kalkwauser might be another way to go, only need an ato and it will add alk and ca, as well as keep water level.

I like the kamoer f4 wifi dosing pump. It's moderately priced and so easy to use from your phone or tablet. Has 4 pumps so you can do cal and alk + 2 more. I just posted a review on this model a few weeks ago. I went with kamoer because all they make is dosing pumps and I had an earlier model that also worked well. Depending on your setup being able to control from your phone is much better then reaching to the back of your stand. With calibration it's bang on. I haven't had it long enough to say if it will lose calibration at some point, but very easy to verify and recalibrate at anytime.

You could always dose in your top off if you are looking for the best bang for buck.

For a dosing pump, you need either a controller or timer. They are safest on a mechanical relay when using a controller/monitor or an integrated timer. If you don't want to dig into a separate timer or controller, I suggest taking a look at the Coral Box Wifi Dosing Pump.

It is essentially a rebadged Jabeo, but comes with a 2 year warranty and has a number in the states to call for warranty work. It is overkill for your needs but isn't much more expensive than a single pump and timer. $180, four pump heads and all you need is a smartphone to configure and calibrate the dosing.
