DOSING PUMPS

Depends on how many heads you need, if you have space constraints and if you plan to also run a Trident for testing/influencing the dosing. The Neptune DOS is great (I use it), but I've heard great things about the Kamoer pumps. Red Sea also has their new ReefDose.

I thought about new Red Sea doser but also noticed that some complaint about them. Brs have some in their recent reviews.

Can you guys suggest me a dosing pump? Is Apex worth the money? No budget really.
Thx
Apex IMO is an excellent choice because you can integrate the DOSER with other elements on your system (like a plug and play) such as the DDR and Trident and have the ability to control dosing based on the results of the Trident if you have one. I also love the fact that it is extremely quiet compared to the two other brands that I currently have on my system (RED Sea 2head) and the Komera single head, I also have the F4 Pro does as well on standby). They are very loud if you sleep in the room that the system is in; however, all of them are VERY accurate in dosing. For me, I like to have the ability to look on Apex Fusion and see everything on-page instead of having to switch from different apps. It comes down to preference, quietness, and accuracy in dosing for me. One other option for the Apex is the doser can be used as an Automatic Water Changer...Although I do not have any experience with this option

Where do you keep Apex? Is it under the cabinet? I’m really limited on space there…

Yes...in the cabinet ( I also have limited space for my temp. setup for a year)

I have the ReefDose4, even though I'm only using two heads right now. Their service has been great. I had a couple issues getting settings right and they were super helpful, and can remotely see your logs to troubleshoot. It's the first dosing pump I've used but I don't regret it at all.

This thread is very timely. I am trying to choose a dosing pump. Currently I am only dosing one product but am thinking I will be needed one or two more in time.
I do not have a controller yet. I do not have the budget and have not figured out what I might need. I do have an arduino that monitors my pH, Temp, ATO functions.
I was going to buy a Jebo doser but then read about the Kamoer pumps that I might can control with the arduino.
I am concerned with a dosing pump failure polluting the tank. I have read some of the pumps do not do well with small doses - I need 12ml a day currently. Some of the pumps have priming issues and backflow issues.

Yeah, i don’t mind paying more money for reliable pump.
It think it’s between Apex- Red Sea- Kamoer.
