Dosing question

I have had my doser for two weeks now dosing 60ml of alk and cal a day. Five days ago my dkh was 7.5 - 8 and my cal was 380 so I raised my cal to 72 ml a day. So today I tested and my dkh is 9 and my cal is 420 that is where I should have both right? Do I need to drop the cal dose back to 60ml a day to match the alk dose or does it matter. I have a mixed reef sps, Lps, softies and two clams. A few bigger pieces but mostly small ones.

You dosed enough calcium (and alkalinity) over 5 days to boost them higher, but you don't want to keep boosting them more and more.

I'd drop both back to maybe 50 mL of each per day and see what that does after another few days.

Took them both down to 50ml a day at 8pm will test again today and see if their is any change

If you have sps in you tank you can run cal upwards of 500 dkh I would keep in the 8-10 range

Typically the dosage of kH is higher than Ca. Unless you are using Kalk or limewater.

And no, the numbers are usually never the same.

I am at 62ml Alk and 37 Ca.
