Dosing Question

I am finally starting to dose my tank... For the time being I will manually dose until I figure out what dosing pump I want (looking at the jabo, but I have learned my lesson on buying cheap first, you always spend more in the long run).

Any how, back to my question. I will use Alk as the example here. My ALK is now where I want it. Should I do my first dose tonight or wait until tomorrow after it drops slightly? Doing it now would raise it by .5... I am losing approximately .5 dkh per day.

Is it better to manually dose twice per day or once? Once is easier for me but twice can be done. Sorry, seems like a dumb question probably.

I prefer to dose CA during the day and ALK during the night.

On my 240 I dose
7am to 7pm 2 ml every hour of CA

7:30 pm to 7:30 am 2 ml every hour of ALk

Oh and I have a Jebao DP4 and it’s ok not very accurate even tho I recalibrate it every month when I refill my jugs. I’m ordering the Coral Box dosing pump come payday it has great reviews.
