correct me if im wrong, im starting dosing and have some questions jist to see if im on the right track.

Im gonna raise my calcium to 430-440ish and my alk to 9 on this upcoming sunday. Then the sunday after, a week from setting to levels, im going to test and again and then divide the reading by 7 to get my daily uptake. Does that sound about right?

Then i was using the brs calculator and came up with 11.3 ml will raise my calcium up 1 ppm and 7.9 ml will raise my alk .1 dkh.

So lets say my daily calcium uptake is 2 ppm and my alk uptake is .3 so i would dose 22.6 ml of calcium and 23.7 ml daily same times, one in the am and other in pm. Am i on the right track?

Yup, that would work to start with. Since the numbers are so close you could just dose 22 ml of both Calcium, and Soda Ash. 2 part should keep your numbers where you want them dosed the same until the needs of the corals changes. Once you start dosing I would check your numbers at least every other day for a week or 2 do make sure everything seems right.

That assumes the decline is pretty slow. If it is, this is OK,

The decline in alk will slow as the alk lowers, and will mostly stop in to 6 dKH range. So if you drop from 9.0 to 8.0 dKH, then you can do as you suggest. If you drop from 9 to 7 dKH, then the rate at 9 dKH is faster than at 7 dKH and the average will be too low.

So if that happens, the steps to get it as stable as possible would be just trial and error without dont over dosing

Depending on what your levels are now, I might suggest raising the cal and alk levels slowly over a couple of days. I would also test 2-5 days a week to start until you get everything dialed in. Otherwise you are on the right track.
