I'm still saving up money for a calcium reactor so in the mean time I've been dosing abc+ with the measuring scoop that's included. I think it's 25 grams per scoop. I've been dosing 1 scoop a day. Should I worry about calcium or alkalinity being too high?

You should worry if you are not measuring it.
Start by measuring alkalinity. If it is OK then you are likely fine.
But it may be too high or too low.

I personally prefer the Red Sea Pro Ca/Alk/Mg Multi Kit. You should be able to find it for around 50 clams.

Just don't base the alk dose on calcium readings. You can base all of the doses on alkalinity measurement if you want, but not the other way around because calcium dosing is too noisy.
