I got the trace elements (ABCD) and the test kit but I just honestly can’t figure out how to come up with appropriate dosages. Reading the instructions it states to either use the test kit and measure for consumption or with a reactor measure calcium consumption and dose accordingly.
Might be a stupid question but how do I measure calcium consumption with my reactor if it’s running off of a kamoer peristaltic pump and this staying stable?
Also if I use the test kit and dose according to usage how to I know how much my tank is using?
Sorry for the amateur like question but it’s been a very long time since I’ve dosed anything. I’ve been using the calcium reactor for years.

Really no one has any idea or dosing these with a reactor?

Is your reactor keeping alk/cal completely stable? if so.

Take your reactor offline for 48hrs exactly, record tanks consumption in calcium, divide by two.
there you are, you can do 25hrs only but with 48hrs and ÷by 2 will give more accurate results.

Yes. Reactor is keeping parameters stable. I would hate to have a large alk swing thought without the reactor. Is that something I shouldn’t worry about for 48hrs?
