Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
How large is the tank system and overall setup in terms of filtration and nutirent control?
Hi Andre
FTW I've been communicating with you on Facebook.
My tank is 38 gallon with HOB refugium and protein skimmer.
I switched to a 38 when my 30 gallon sprung a leak. Essentially the same system including the DSB of 4". I would estimate it's been going for over 9 years.
Always low in NO3 (as per current ATI 1PPM).
For PO4 export, for years I've used Rowaphos in a TLF reactor. It kept PO4 @ ~0.04.
Currently, though, I eliminated the reactor and am using Tropic Marin Elimi NP.
Still under evaluation.
Oh and by the way I forgot to mention in the previous post about my Goniopora Stutchburyi. This coral had been severely retracted for some time. It has steadily improved to the point that it now exhibits a fluffiness it hasn't had in years.
For this I can certainly say it was due to the dosing of iodine.
I know this because I began dosing it due to it being very low as per ICP and I started seeing the improvement before I began dosing the rest of the Moonshiner program.
Unfortunately, I have not seen similar improvement in my other Goni
@David S - Have you seen any feeding responses from your LPS?
Sincerely Lasse
In short no.
As far as my Euphylia and Cataphylia go, to my perhaps uneducated eye, I never see a "feeding" response per se.
Their polyps and flesh are fully extended and fluffy during the day and shrink up at night.
My Scolies are fluffy during the day and shortly after lights out they exhibit a strong feeding response.
While my Dendro has polyps extended throughout the night and off and on during the day.
This is pretty much the way it's been before the addition of elements and to the present.
