Has anyone dosed Skimmate to raise nitrates?

Don't think I would ever dose it. Warm decomposing material doesn't sound healthy. I know others have allowed it to simply empty back into the water rather than collecting. However after sitting in the cup until emptied and then dosed back in sounds unhealthy to me.

Just put the skimmer on a timer and only run it part of the time.

Have you ever overflowed a skimmer collection cup?

And as a follow up, if you have overflowed a collection cup, was it Lethal to your system? Were there any fish deaths, coral deaths, algae blooms you attribute to it?

I’d dose sodium nitrate if you want to boost it and not phosphate.
