Looks like the ATO and my dosing system started to malfunction during the night. Checked up on my mandarin I have in the sump and surprise surprise I found a ****en mountain of alkalinity in the sump.

The tubing is plugged and the water level was way too high I'm guessing the ATO pumped out more water raising the level passed what it should be at.

I already turned off the pump, shut the valve off and turned up my powerheads while I get water later today.

I tested the alk and it's only a bit higher than what I normally run it so hopefully it won't cause too many problems.

Hope this helps you guys out in the future to check your equipment

Oh dam! What are you dosing?

Also my heater blew out and the water was boiling when I started to clean out the alk. It was reading at 87 degrees. Luckily the return pump was shut off and nothing was going up anymore.

When I removed the heater there was steam coming out of it. I got so lucky today

when it rains it pours so the saying goes... glad you caught it in time. Making me rethink all the points of failure we have in the hobby and howto mitigate them.
The guy at the fish store was nice enough to open an hour earlier for me which really helped since I have a break right now and was able to come home and fix all the problems
