What is everyone using to dose limewater? I was thinking a peristalitic pump, however how do you hook up a float switch to it?

I use a avast marine kalkwasser stirrer in conjunction with a tunze osmolator....it works great!

I was thinking of using a tuze nano, but is there a potentiometer like the ful version has?

I dose limewater using a spectrapure Power liquid level controller in conjunction with
MEC-O-MATIC Dolphin Series Peristaltic Metering Pump. It works quite well. I can set the mec-o-matic to pump for a duration of 1 to 10 minutes. Which is nice just in case the spectrapure power liquid level controller fails to shut the pump off. I don't have to worry about it putting to much lime water in the tank .
I've had problems using the Tunze ATO's with lime water it tends to jam the pump eventually.

Im still not sure, here what im debating for limewater top off:

1) avast ato
2) tunze osmolator nano/full
3) spectrapure

Avast Ato comes with a pressure switch, peristalitic pump, and magnet mount. Plus a backup float valve. These seem good. Cons, nothing i can think of. Price 200$ ish.

Tunze has 3 backups, a timer, an optical eye and float valve. Has a magnetic support. Cons are the eye can get dirty and malfunction. The pump can fail. Price 200$ ish.

Spectrapure i havent reserched much.

So my choice is likely the avast marine, it seems high quality and uses a professional pump.

Thoughts?

So i went with avast marine. Heres my reasons:

1) peristatic pump. Slow dosing that womt get damaged by limewater because the pump doesnt come in contact with it.

2) pressure switch. Snails or algae growth wont get stuck in it.

3) add float valve to stop the pump if the pressure switch fails.

4) 3 prong plug. Allows me to use any pump if i upgrade to a larger tank in the future for ato.

I been using tunze ato (120 gallon DT), been happy so far

I love mine, been up close to three years and I haven't needed any maintenance. I went with a aqualifter for my kalk and it's in a digital timer so it runs for 1-2 minutes every half hour to prevent too much kalk at once (have a faster pump than you will). I think you'll be happy with it. [emoji106]
