Dosing vinegar Q

Is vinegar dosing any less effective if I spread it out over a course of 9 hours VS adding total amount in a single dose?

My pH was dropping from 7.9 to 7.02 whenever I added vinegar so I spread it out on a doser over 9 hours. I remember with Red Sea NOPOX, people reported that it wasn't as effective when dosed spread out so I was wondering if it was the same case with vinegar.

The same effect. Vinegar and vs are not much differnet besides potency.

What @Cory said. Should be no difference.

Out of curiosity, how much vinegar are you dosing per day? A pH drop from 7.9 to 7.02 seems pretty large. Were you dosing in your sump or near your pH probe?

Thank you guys - I'm currently dosing 30ml for 150gallon in my overflow box (pH probe located after filter sock chamber & skimmer chamber).

I think the confusion is the OP used VS to mean versus, not vinegar + sugar.
