Dosing your skimmer.

We all know that the Venturi gets plugged up. Why not dose RO/DI water in it. I'm thinking 10ml twice a day.
Any thoughts on this?

My Venturi doesn't? lol

The only time my skimmer shuts down is when I am running it slightly too aggressive and the outflow can't match the inflow and I get stuffing at which point I need to open the exit port all the way, let the water clear and then re-dial it in.

Just keep intake clean and free of debris such an Chaeto and it should run smoothly

Seems easier to just clean the intake once a year when you are cleaning the rest of the skimmer

Had that happen twice. It DOES happen. Same for Asterina stars , snails and even sludge.
