Was wondering what people dose their tanks. I use kent liquid calcium, microvert. I have never direct feeded any of my Zoas or palys.

I dose Seachems Reef Plus and Reef Trace and feed Live Phyto and Prime reef every other day :)

I tried feeding DT's phyto for a solid month...all the corals seemed very happy with it. I target fed each and every one. now im gonna experiment with some other stuff and see what i like better

I've read where Zoa's (don't know if it was a certain TYPE or not) responded greedily to sea urchin eggs, in Eric Borneman's book: Aquarium Corals.

I've been spot feeding fauna Marin zoa powder for a month or so. Great response so far. Color and growth

I just got some yesterday myself. What is your feeding technique and schedule? Thanks.

I put a few pinches of the powder in tank water and let it sit for a min or two. Then I dust the colonies with the mixture. I do this 2-3 times a week

Suprisingly even the small zoas eat that stuff too. I was really shocked.

Thanks for the tip/info! Gonna have to get me some of this zoa powder

I've found the best feeding response is an hour after the "dawn" lights come on(just blues).when the daylights are on it's more of a reaction than a true feeding(zoas). palys will eat all day:canada:
