Hi guys, finally taking the plunge past softies and will be buying some LPS soon. I definitely want to maintain stable levels and thats hard if I get distracted or am away so I'm looking into a dosing pump.
My first question is what doser would you reccomend? My tank is a 46 gallon if that helps, and I would prefer to not spend a fortune on a doser.
Second one is what should I put in the doser? Stuff for alkalinity, magnesium, strontium, etc or something more along the lines of a general additive like Kent's Marine Coral-Vite?

So I love the Jeabo Dp4 they are cheap and run well. they are around 70 dollars on amazon. I like them soo much I run 4 of them... They come with an extra head and can pump high as well. As far as dosing I would dose alk and calc daily. i reccomend two part from BRS cause its easy and cheap. If you want a pre mixed BIonic I heard is good as well. as far as the other two free dosing pumps I would run whatever your want IE coral food, any additives you would like. This pump comes with 4 dosing heads

I am using Bubble magus dosing pump for 5 years and have no problem with it. I am dosing ALK , CAL, MAG.

Thanks guys! I'm gonna go with the DP4 because it's so much cheaper. I know it's not a hobby to cheap out in but I think this is okay since it has good reviews. I'm 15 years old so $70 vs $200 is huge for me.
Past that I think I'll dose Alk, Calc, Mag, and Trace Elements since I'm one of those people who doesn't do weekly water changes (usually 2 weeks, sometimes 3)

I ran a Jeabo Dp4 for a couple weeks at first it worked fine but then it started dripping. It would not hold any fluid in the lines everything would drip out of the lines. After everything would drip out it wouldnt dose anymore. Now I run brs dosing pumps

IMO. Cal alk and mag are all you really need.
Dose evenly. And test. Trace elements are somthing we can't generally test for easily and most of those elements are in the salt mix and don't deplete rapidly enough to be of a concern for most.

Jebao is mixed reviews. I've had two for a while with no problembs.

Find a seller with a good return policy.

ESV is a very simple easy product to figure out amounts when first starting.

My .02 cents.
