Has anyone have had this problem for the last two or three days I've been trying to get my alk up. Everyday I was checking calcium it stayed around 397 so I kept dosing .001 on my doser each day. Day four or shoots up to 430. Why so sudden? Tested it 4x got the same reading. Also for alk I started at 9.3 and it's dropped down to 8.3 it seems like when one gets High the other one gets low or vice versa? Is it just because it's what the corals are feeding off of? Also do these changes so soon hurt anything?

First make sure your magnesium is in the right range, above 1300. If it's lower you can have trouble getting stable Alk and calcium.

And yes any stony coral can be consuming them. Depending on how many coral you have, that might be the reason.
