It only tells you what you ask it to tell you. lol

if you ask it to solve an unbalanced situation, it will, of course, recommend an unbalanced solution.

Those current values are fine. What exactly are you trying to do?

Trying to dose what’s used ...
and maintain what works for stability

So another question .
7.5 dkh seams to be stable For alk .
should that be higher?
ive read maintaining 7.5 dkh is ideal for long term but read anything below 8 will significantly slow calcification ant growth ?

I'm confused.

If alk is stable, nothing is being consumed and no dosing is needed.

It was stable .
it’s beginning to drop
From 7.5 where it’s been for months
ill calculate daily consumption

from 7.5dkh
It dropped to 6.9 in a week
To dose back to 7.5 randys calculator suggested dosing 57ml alk part .
Adding newer values into the calculator from 7.3dkh to 7.5
It suggested dosing 12ml alk part
And 122ml cal part
I’ll attach a picture of the calculator

425 cal and 7.5 dkh alk are just numbers that have been previously been stable for months and why those numbers are used .

I dose esv in my frag tank.
Carx in my 120.
I run alk 7-7.5
Ca 420-450
Mag 1350.
Your numbers are fine.
I get all the growth I need at that alk level.

I dose equal amounts of 1&2 with esv once daily to maintain those levels.

I would test alk every day for a week to determine daily alk useage.

I test and log alk daily just to keep me in tune with my tank.
I could test weekly but it only takes a couple minutes and works for me.

Do you dose daily?

I only dosed 50ml of each esv one day to bring it above 7
From 6.9

It ran for months not consuming anything to alk starting to drop

Your alk level is fime.
Mine stays around 7.2.
When consumption goes up it has gone as low as 6.7 with no issues.
It is never higher than 7.5
Average ocean alk is 6.5-7.
I know many run higher but I have never seen the need.
Whatever levels you decide to run stability is what you want.
If you dose by hand 50ml once a day it is probably time for a doser to get stability. That way you can spread it out throughout the day.
When I got to 45ml a day of esv I went to a carx in my 120 but that was the plan from day one.

If you want calcium to rise substantially, you need an unbalanced a large amount of that part.

Jus tgo ahead and add it.

Your demand is very low and the additions are all going to be low.
