would daily dosing your tank with Alk, Cal and Mag followed by weekly dosing of RedSea AB+ be overkill for a tank ?

No, but it depends on how much your tank consumes in a day. I would measure your alk at the same time for about a week. That will give you an idea of what is being consumed. Then start dosing your two part equal to the amount of daily consumption.

Thanks !! That’s my plan to a tee. I wasn’t as confident about adding the Magnesium and equally unsure about introducing AB plus to the mix.

Most two parts have the mag included on them. For example I use Seachem fusion 1 & 2. This supplements alk, calcium and mag. AB+ will have 0 affect on your alk, calcium and mag. Its mostly amino acids and other good stuff for the corals

The Fritz RPM has part 1 which is Alk and Part 2 which is for Cal.. For some reason, the mag is a separate bottle. It’s like an unofficial part 3.
