Double checking what this is on my copper banded?

I just got him in. I spoke with the vendor and the said that they were almost sure it was lympho and should clear up by itself. Im not familiar with this so was just wanting second opinion.

It is indeed Lymphocystis and quite common with both butterflies and full size angels. Lympho is a condition and not disease. Often its associated with water quality issue as simple as elevated ammonia or nitrate and can be that of water from LFS and not yours. Assure to provide Good water quality monitored by a reliable test kit and feed nutritious foods with fats such as LRS Herbivore frenzy, spirulina brine shrimp, small plankton and mysis shrimp.

We also recommend all new fish be placed in the qt protocol before adding them to your display tank. This precaution helps should the fish be harboring parasites.. see the link below for the procedures.

Also looks like lymphocystis to me, and I've had two CBBs that got it on introduction to the tank only to have it clear up in less than a week. I think it's basically a stress response for them.

Thank you all very much for your replys. It has already been QT from the vendor who is reputable. They said that the copper treatment often causes this. It was just my first time purchasing from them and I have never came across this before so I was just making sure. Thank you all again!

+1 on the white spots being Lymphocystis.
+1 on also needing to give the fish a full quarantine if you can.

The fish is breathing a bit hard, but I see that it is in a bag, so the stress of acclimation probably accounts for that.

Lympho is viral and is a condition and not disease and likely not. They are prone to injury and bacterial issues
I would start looking around tank for it

I did look around best I could, Its 300 full of live rock and coral. He seemed fine and was eating. But this is day number 2 with no sighting.

Im in the same boat with tank size and coral. I use an automotive inspection mirror from Harbor freight for this purpose to see behind rock. Just rinse it well when done.

Gotta love the DIY work arounds this hobby (life style really) requires.
