Hi was looking at my tank with my son and he noticed a zoa with 2 heads .

Took best pics i could to show double head and stem

I thought they just grow a new shoot not by splitting.

I'm not an expert. But looking around on the google machine showed that it is common for them to sprout a second mouth and split off into a new polyp.

Ok to be honest i never heard of them splitting. But il keep a look out and see if they stay together or not

It's rare, they don't really split but you'll see some pictures of two headed or two mouthed polyps. They'll almost always just bud off from the base of the parent polyp. I've never had one split. It likely did bud from the base, but perhaps grew together. Either way it's cool. Yeah let's generate some hype about it so you can sell it for 5k. I'm going with "super ultra rainbow insane double headed crazy neon fairy farts palythoa" if only it had an inflated vesicle or two you could call it a "bounce".

Well, there isn't such a thing as "high end" anyway until people flip out about something, so generate some hype and it will become "high end"
