Hello,
Before I get any farther, please know that I utilized my google-fu to the maximum and couldn’t find anything. I can’t really even properly describe them, and I’m hoping my potato-quality pics will help somewhat.
I picked up a few frags today, and when it came time to dip and inspect I notice a few interesting things on one of them. The first were several tiny corallimorph-looking things spread across the frag plug rod. They are soft, purple and greenish in color, and a have a unique star shape. They did not react to being blasted with water.
The second was a mass of what appears to be eggs across the underside of the plug. The mass was held together by a jelly like substance, and each “egg” had a black dot in the center of it. I googled pests such as AEFW and monti nudis to see if the eggs looked similar, and to me they do not.
I did not place these frags in my tank for the time being. Hopefully someone can help me get a better idea of what these things are. Sorry for the lack of quality in pictures, they were the best I could get.
