So I did TTM for the first time after loosing so many fish with copper. I had three Blue Reef Chromis, one Whitetail Bristletooth Tang and one Electric Indigo Dottyback and I ended up losing the three Chromis to Uronema, (I am officially done with Chromis now). The others went through TTM and then 14 days of API General Cure, including feeding as well as dosing the tank. The Tang did have visible signs of ICH from day 2, but made it through QT without any signs after about day 5. He did start to get HLLE towards the end of QT, but never stopped eating and after getting him out of QT he started getting better and today has no signs of any diseases so I assume he was just getting stressed in the little QT tank.

Long story short...They have been in the 45 gallon tank for about a month now and I am currently QTing some Bartletts Anthias, (In copper this time) and they are doing great even in copper and eating everything I throw at them, (On a side note, they are the most aggressive eating fish I have ever had and I had a Harlequin Tusk). I plan on transferring the Anthias and my Tang at the same time into my main DT when they are done with QT since the Tang is much smaller than my existing ones, (I know...I'm asking for trouble) so I figure adding multiple fish at the same time would help a bit. My concern is that the Tang did not get treated with copper and I am not 100% confident putting it in my DT since I have spent so much time, money and energy QTing everything that has gone into my DT and I know 99.999% that I have not brought any diseases into it as of now.

My question is, would you feel comfortable putting the Tang in your DT as is with just TTM and API General Cure, or would you do 2 weeks of copper first?

If ttm was done properly id feel quite secure.

Well....how did it go, is he in the DT?
Not yet. He is still in my 45 gallon DT since I only have a few fish in it so far and he is pretty small. I want him to grow a bit more before I throw him in with the big boys. I may also buy an acclimation tank to put him in for a few days to see how the others react to him.
